name change

As you have heard the School Age Team has had a name change. We are now known as Life Links (bridging the transition from childhood to adulthood).
Don't forget to add to our posts and check out what is happening.
We just ended a pilot Life Skills group we called YES (youth empowerment skills) The teens who attended worked on skills such as safety, nutrition, personal space, and future planning. We will be offering another session begining in February 2010, watch for information soon.
We are also working on another Extreme Week for the week of Jan. 25-28, 2010.
After school fitness will also be gearing up in the new year.
So watch for information on all of these programs.

well hi everyone. It has been a while since I have been on the blog. I hope you are all doing well. Now that summer is over and we are back into a school routine I hope to see you all on the blog. I will post a few pics from some of the activities we had over the summer.
We have a few new programs starting in the fall. You should have all recieved a newsletter introducing the new name for School Age Team which is Life Links. Take a look at your newsletter and give me a call to sign up for programs.

HANGING WITH THE GIRLS

Last night the girls enjoyed a session of yoga with Mumbi. Thank you Mumbi for giving us a taste of yoga and relaxation. It worked so well one of the girls even had a little nap. Well, we only have two more weeks of hanging out girls!! I'll see you all on June 10th.

Family Night

Just want to let you all know that our last Drop IN Family Night for the summer was last night. I would like to invite you all to the baseball field on Thursday June 4 (and the first Thursday in July and Aug.) to enjoy some friendship and cheer on our team. That is if you aren't already enjoying the game out on the field. I'll even bring treats!!!!
Thank you to all of the families that came out and we will see you at Jaycee Park next month.

HANGING WITH THE GIRLS

Well we were hanging out with the girls last night and what a great time!!!! It was nice to see all of the girls getting along so well. Lots of laughs were shared. Thanks Ang for the great bird stories. See you all on the 29th and bring some extra cash incase you want to eat out!

Hanging with the guys

Well we had our first Hanging With the Guys night. Everyone seemed to have a good time. The guys just hung out and got to know each other and played WII sport. We will be hanging out again on the 22nd and walking over to Wendy's for dinner. Can't wait for a greasy burger!

Dine 4 Life

Casino night at Navia's was a hit. Thank you for opening up your house to the group and providing such fun!!!! I now have proof for my children that I AM THE QUEEN!!!! Heather you should get those front teeth checked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
As soon as I get some pictures I will post them so everyone can see what a great time everyone had.

It looked as though everyone was having a great time at the centre for Tinielle's Dine 4 Life night. I had to leave early and missed out on the fun. Thanks Tinielle for the great party!

just a reminder fromTinielle that we will meet at the Prism Centre Tues - its gonna be a princess party!! Tinielle bought nail stickers and makeup plus we are going to paint our own box and decorate it !! She also will have balloons!!

Last night was our second Family Pizza Night. We had a good turn out. Heather talked about some up coming Rec. programs and handed out her flyers. April 1st is our next pizza night so come on out and enjoy not cooking and hanging out with other families and therapists from the centre.

Well another great Dine 4 Life night. Thank you to Aly for hosting. We ate a fabulous meal and enjoyed some karaoke. March 10 is our next night and our hostes is Tinielle. Can't wait to see you all.

Well what can I say, we had a great dinner at Boston Pizza last night. Kerri you were a fabulous hostess. Thank you, I can't wait to see the pictures you took. Next dinner is on the 24th at the centre and Aly is our host.

Family Night

Well we had our first Family Pizza Night. I guess I wasn't too clear on the fact that it was meant for all family members of SAT to come out and enjoy some pizza and get connected with the team and other families. We are going to have this night the first Wednesday of the month at the centre, from 5-6. It is very informal and good time to grab dinner while here, especially if you are at the centre already for therapy or a lesson! Let me know if you will be attending and how many in your family so I can make sure we all get enough to eat!

Hey ladies....I had so much fun chattin and plannin with you last night...I think we were all a little hungry listening to everyone's menu being planned....The date to add on is March 31st...Mark it on your calendar....

Dine 4 Life

Well it was our introduction to Dine 4 Life last night and we had a great time. There were 5 girls that are in our dinner club and they all chose where we are going to dine and what we are going to do when we dine!!! I can not wait to start.
